| The
rotary draw forming method of curving provides
much tighter radii than either stretch or roll
forming.
In this method the work piece is clamped to
custom made steel tooling. As the tooling rotates
a wiper die & pressure die press the part
into the rotating tooling to produce a very high
quality tight radius curve with almost no cross
sectional distortion.
The bending
cost per piece is very inexpensive however the
tooling for this type of bending tends to be
expensive making it a better method for large
quantities of identical curves.
